BB&T offers medical coverage through BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina under the BlueCard program. This gives you access to one nationwide network, providing coverage no matter where you are when you need medical care. The BlueCard program also includes some physicians and facilities outside the United States. Physicians who participate in the BlueCard program are considered in-network and generally provide discounted rates. While there can be a financial advantage to seeing these physicians, you also have the flexibility to see physicians who do not participate in the BlueCard program (referred to as out-of-network providers).
