BB&T offers training opportunities to associates from internal and external sources.
BB&T University provides associates with comprehensive educational opportunities so you can enhance your strengths and better meet the challenges your role brings. From product knowledge training to leadership and professional development opportunities, BB&T University offers a number of courses designed to broaden your skills and better position you for advancement in your career.
BB&T University provides learning opportunities to associates through a number of channels, including online courses, on-the-job training, live instructor-led classes, instructor-led virtual classes and more. Formal Degree Programs
Eligible associates can participate in associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs—commonly called education assistance or tuition reimbursement—that contribute to work-related programs of study culminating in earning a specific degree. BB&T aims to help associates reach their goals and further their professional development through education.

Company-Required or Continuing Education
From the BB&T Banking School at Wake Forest University to the BB&T Leadership Institute to the American Bankers Association, BB&T offers a range of learning opportunities to eligible associates. If your manager approves you to take a course or courses to improve your job skills, raise your level of understanding of a specific area, fulfill continuing professional education credits or meet regulatory requirements to perform a certain job, then 100% reimbursement or prepayment may be made for the costs associated with that activity.
